Role and Responsibilities:
As an EMS provider in our Events Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of participants in various outdoor events. Your responsibilities will include:
Setting up for events, including towing event trailers, onsite tent/clinic setup, vehicle operation, and radio communication.
Conducting temperature screening using non-contact forehead thermometers.
Administering emergency and clinical care based on your level of certification.
Keeping event trailers, vehicles, and bags stocked correctly.
Operating communication devices such as inreach, radios, Gaia, and others utilized for events.
Assisting in maintaining a clean and organized station.
Safely operating Adventure Medics vehicles, including SUVs/Trucks, ATVs, and UTVs.
Completing event and patient paperwork accurately and efficiently before, during, and after events.
Liaising with event coordinators, volunteers, and local fire departments professionally.
Performing occasional maintenance on event equipment, including bikes, tents, and rescue vehicles.
Performing other work-related duties as directed by the team lead/supervisor or as the situation requires.
Additional Information:
We have two classifications of employees for our event positions:
Event Team (Full-time Seasonal):
Staff can work 30-40 hours a week during the events season.
Mandatory (paid) monthly training sessions.
Eligible for gym memberships, certification classes, discount codes (after probationary period).
ECL (Event Call List):
No commitment to minimum hours; called upon as necessary.
Optional attendance at monthly training sessions.
All Staff:
Must pass skills testing and a physical fitness test.
Shifts ranging from 4 – 18 hours.
Orientation dates vary and can be performed case by case depending on location.
Uniform provided (Staff to provide own EMS boots).
Necessary Qualifications:
Current state AEMT/EMT/EMR/Paramedic license in good standing.
High School Diploma or GED
Current BLS/CPR certification.
I-100, I-700
Preferred Qualifications:
NREMT certification.
EVOC certification.
EMS Licensure in a Compact State.
ATV/UTV Operator certification.
