A versatile position within a dynamic, hardworking, international non-profit organization that provides relief to survivors of natural disasters. This position is responsible for overall management and strategic development of the program to ensure efficient and effective delivery of the projects.

Roles reporting to position: Project Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, Volunteer Engagement and Relations Coordinator

Responsible for the successful operation and completion of the program as a whole.
Ensure the overall budget and timeline compliance of the program.
Recruit, onboard and manage an effective staff team to meet the specific needs of the communities at risk from wildfires.
In communication with the U.S. Response Manager, empower staff to carry out their work effectively and efficiently.
Responsible for ensuring organization and program rules are followed; perform disciplinary processes if needed.
Support the Operations teams to deliver their specific operational and project targets within the approved time and budget constraints.
With the support of the U.S. Response Manager and fellow staff, develop, implement, and review the program’s Emergency and Evacuation Procedures, and Health, Safety, and Security protocols.
Ensure our program’s tracking systems are updated (Salesforce) while overseeing the delivery of weekly and monthly reporting for all aspects of the program.
Work with local partners and create collaboration between us and their organizations
Attend Long Term Recovery meetings and connect with local partners when appropriate and communicate any information that may affect the program to the U.S. Response Manager
Escalate and communicate about the program’s performance and issues to the Leadership Team on bi-monthly reporting calls and as needed.
Support training and skills development for staff and volunteers
To be considered for this position you must be fully vaccinated. Subject to applicable guidance, the term fully vaccinated currently refers to when an individual has received either a single-shot vaccine or both doses of a two-shot vaccine, and two weeks have elapsed since the final dose.

Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience
Related Experience A minimum of a year experience working in a disaster response context, preferably with AHAH. At least 6 months of experience in a role with project management responsibilities, including budget tracking and reporting. Management experience in a professional setting.
