Overview

The Hulbert Outdoor Center, located in Fairlee, Vermont, provides experiential education
programs to people of all ages. Current programs include day and overnight options for
school groups focused on teamwork, leadership, and environmental education, school
vacation camps, afterschool programs, family camps, skills certifications, and community
service programs.

Position Summary
The Ropes Course Facilitator position operates during the summer season and will support
the Ropes Courses of the Aloha Foundation managed by the Hulbert Outdoor Center. During
the summer season, on-campus housing and food are provided to staff members.

Key Responsibilities
• Facilitation of Ropes Courses for Aloha Foundation summer programming.
• Working with campers across wide age groups.
• Assist in the care of all ropes course equipment being sure to report all equipment
issues to the Ropes Course Director.
• Embrace challenge by choice and assist participants in their challenges.
• Teach through experience.

Required Skills:

• Strong commitment to educate children and communities.
• Energetic, and dedicated to all aspects of the work to create a strong community.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Wilderness First Aid training available.
• Demonstrated experience teaching children, preferably in a residential
camp environment.
• Able to attend mandatory training.
