Operations Coordinator
Location: Reno-Tahoe region working out of our Mt. Rose Hwy location.
Position Type: Part-time Year Round Role (16 hours to start)
About Us: Alpinistas Adventures is dedicated to providing female outdoor enthusiasts with unforgettable experiences in the pristine landscapes of Yosemite, Tahoe, and surrounding regions. We’re looking for a passionate individual to help us build and strengthen the Alpinistas brand, excel customer service and support our guide team.
Position Overview: As the Operations Coordinator you will be a key player in our team, responsible for the following key categories:
Trip Operations:
-Coordinate all trip logistics, including gear coordination, pre-trip communications, and monitoring weather and road conditions.
-Facilitate on-trip communication between the office and guides.
-Host virtual group meeting with clients for larger trips.
-Plan pre-season trips and secure wilderness permits and reservations.
-Ensure all trips meet Alpinistas brand quality and safety standards.
Safety Operations:
-Review and manage training materials.
-Maintain trip logs and reporting to Federal Agencies.
-Provide gear inspection and maintenance.
Other Support:
-Customer service: answer phones, emails and general questions about trips.
-Light retail store support.
-Potential to lead trips.
-Host local events.
-Equipment transport for events and guide gear hand-off.
Hiring Details:
Part-time W2 starting at 16 hours per week.
Wilderness First Aid & CPR training reimbursement available.

Qualifications:
Key Qualifications:
-Experience in managing trip and event operations.
-Strong decision-making skills.
-Knowledge of Yosemite and Tahoe, particularly Donner & Carson Pass regions (preferred).
-Wilderness First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Required Skills:
-Excellent organizational and communication abilities with proper grammar and spelling.
-Ability to use Gsuite applications, Notion, AirTable, or other program management tools or savviness to learn.

Alpinistas Adventures
We're a female-run, female-led guide service based in Reno, NV that offers women's outdoor education and recreational trips. We are commercially permitted and insured to offer programs all over northern California (Sierra Nevada, Tahoe, Yosemite, Lassen) and climbing in the Eastern Sierra. We are continuing to expand our region of service with other commercial permits for different land agencies pending.
We are currently the ONLY FEMALE LED GUIDING OPERATOR offering Mountaineering, Backpacking and Climbing programs in our region. woo hoo!
