Overview
We’re seeking passionate and experienced individuals to join the Alpinistas Adventures team in the following roles:
Backpacking Guides
Lead recreational backpacking trips, primarily Half Dome adventures in Yosemite for women. This role requires exceptional customer service skills, patience, and a supportive attitude to create a welcoming experience for all participants. Qualifications: Current WFR certification and at least 3 years of experience leading adult groups.
Wilderness Medicine Leaders
Teach Wilderness First Aid (WFA) and potentially Wilderness First Responder (WFR) courses, empowering clients with essential safety skills. Courses are co-ed and primarily take place in the Reno-Tahoe region, with some offerings in Yosemite. Qualifications: Prior WFA/WFR or other relevant medical experience is required to become an instructor, if not already an instructor.
Rock Climbing Program Development
Develop, renew and expand our rock climbing programs, focusing on creating accessible and engaging experiences for women. Responsibilities include partnering with store brands and products that will offer an additional compensation structure tied to product sales. Qualifications: Climbing certifications such as AMGA SPI and experience leading adult groups. Region: Tahoe and Alabama Hills.
Climbing Guides
Lead rock climbing trips with a focus on safety, skill-building, and creating unforgettable outdoor adventures for women. Qualifications: Climbing certifications such as AMGA SPI and experience leading adult groups. Region: Tahoe and Alabama Hills.

Alpinistas Adventures
We're a female-run, female-led guide service based in Reno, NV that offers women's outdoor education and recreational trips. We are commercially permitted and insured to offer programs all over northern California (Sierra Nevada, Tahoe, Yosemite, Lassen) and climbing in the Eastern Sierra. We are continuing to expand our region of service with other commercial permits for different land agencies pending.
We are currently the ONLY FEMALE LED GUIDING OPERATOR offering Mountaineering, Backpacking and Climbing programs in our region. woo hoo!
