Overview
We’re a female-led guide service based in Reno-Tahoe that offers women’s outdoor education and recreational trips. We offer programs all over northern California (Sierra Nevada, Yosemite, Lassen) and climbing in Alabama Hills.
Our focus is on backpacking, climbing, mountaineering and general outdoor skills for women’s empowerment in the wilderness. We would love to build out our ski/split programs for 2024, with the right person.
We are looking to add to our seasonal guiding staff to help lead trips. We have itineraries over the summer for Yosemite National Park, Lassen National Park as well as climbing weekends in Alabama Hills (Lone Pine, CA). These trips are a mix of education or recreation focused.
We would also like to get educators to lead one-day clinics in the Tahoe or Reno region, based on your skill expertise. We’re looking to make an impact in the outdoor industry by helping women overcome a lack of confidence or intimidation that may face to be able to explore the outdoors armed with knowledge and power.
This would be part-time, seasonal contract work for now. As we grow, we’d love to be able to provide consistent work.

Qualifications:
Qualifications will depend on your area of work.
Climbing - AMGA SPI minimum
Backpacking - WFA minimum but WFR preferred
Mountaineering - Experience in this area is required + WFR
Clinics - Based on your education/experience
Ski/Split - AMGA in progress or similar + AIARE
Required Skills:
Excellent communication skills
Outgoing, upbeat & able to keep the entire group included. Inclusivity on our outings is important, especially when we are facing different fitness/speeds.
Experience working with clients in the wilderness or a classroom setting.

We are continuing to expand our region of service with other commercial permits for different land agencies pending.
