Overview
American Conservation Experience, a nonprofit Conservation Corps, in partnership with National Park Service, is seeking THREE Education and Outreach Members. During the spring and fall, members will work alongside Great Smoky Mountains National Park staff to present education programs for students in grades K-12. In the summer, members will create and provide interpretation / outreach programs for park visitors, rove trails, and assist with wildlife and traffic management.

Qualifications:
- Must be US citizen or Permanent Resident to comply with federal contracts
- Have valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Must have a personal vehicle
- Must pass criminal history checks
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or receive a medical or religious exemption
Required Skills:
- Able to professionally represent ACE and Great Smoky Mountains NP
- Ability to be self-directed and a contributing member of a group
- Ability to perform essential duties of position with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willing to serve outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely with resource professionals
- Have effective communication skills with diverse audiences
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in environmental education, ecology, history, education, cultural resources, park management or related discipline
- Knowledge and skills in principles of education and interpretation
- Knowledge and willingness to learn more about the natural and cultural history of the Southern Appalachians
- Excellent public speaking skills
- Enthusiastic about serving with audiences of all ages
