Overview
The Luxury Camp Guide (LCG) is responsible for the setup, teardown and daily duties of operating our luxury camping product. You will be working closely with the Camp Manager (LCM), Operations Manager, and Guides to ensure each program meets and exceeds the Client’s expectations. As a LCG, your role could develop into a lead guiding position if that is the direction you desire to achieve. This is a great role to develop the important personal skills that are crucial for being a private luxury level guide for American Safari Camp.
Some of the responsibilities include:
– Ensuring all gear is setup according to the specifications
– Using the given conditions and gear to set up the best camp possible
– Working to adhere to the schedule made by the LCM for clients, meals, activities and guides.
– Keeping a clean, organized, and presentable camp
– Clean and uncluttered kitchen workspace
– Clean and tidy client living spaces
– Cleaning and organizing gear upon completion of trip
– Preparing and serving meals throughout the program
Qualifications:
WFR, WEMT or Wilderness Advanced First aid
Food Handler's Certification
Required Skills:
Ability to lift and transport items up to 50 pounds
Preferred Skills:
Camping or Hiking Skillset
Experience interacting with private clients
General and/or specialized knowledge of National Parks and their flora, fauna and varied ecosystems
