About Anacortes Waterfront Alliance
AWA is a community non-profit with the mission to provide community access and training to
broaden access to the Anacortes/Fidalgo Island waterfront. AWA operates the Learn to Sail
program of sailing lessons on behalf of the Anacortes Department of Parks and Recreation. It
also sponsors and operates the Anacortes High School Sailing Team, and owns the sailboats and
powerboats used in the program. AWA maintains a boat livery in Anacortes where people can
rent paddleboards and small sailboats at reasonable rates. It also owns a 22 foot sailboat that
can be chartered and used for sailing lessons. AWA operates the small boat storage yard and
dinghy floats at Cap Sante Marina.
