Avid4 Adventure is seeking a Regional Supervisor for our California day camps in 2021. As an Avid4 Adventure Regional Supervisor, you will join a team who all share the belief that participation in the outdoors has the power to transform kids’ lives. Our summer camps empower pre-K- 12th graders with the skills and confidence to paddle, bike, hike, climb and thrive in the outdoors.
The Regional Supervisor is responsible for the successful management and oversight of multiple-day camps in a geographic region to help spread our impact nationwide. The Regional Supervisor will work closely with the Senior Regional Manager in their state to provide the highest quality summer camp programming. The Regional Supervisor is an integral part of our success in empowering kids to be active for life. The Regional Supervisor role is a spring/summer seasonal position.
Manage 4-6 day camp locations by supporting Camp Leadership teams and field staff.
Provide high levels of customer service to our parents, campers, and staff. Make things right with parents as needed.
Oversee program quality and safety. Manage risks and educate others to mitigate risk. Thoroughly understand emergency action plans and help implement procedures if necessary.
Maintain positive relationships with our facilities, recreation areas, and the general public.
Staff Management & Development
Help with the planning & execution of staff training and Camp Leadership training.
Be responsible for creating staff schedules and managing staff schedules in your region.
Manage, support, and assess Camp Leadership. Coach Camp Leadership on their staff management skills, support them to solve operational challenges, and advise them on customer conversations.
Ensure that staff and leadership are satisfied with their experience working with Avid4 Adventure by providing excellent service to all staff.
Oversight of Camp Operations
Oversee and organize camp move-ins and setups and conversely wrap up and pack in at the end of the season.
Oversee payroll for your region.
Ensure compliance with local licensing and the American Camp Association.
Assist in camp wrap up: permit reconciliation, facility meetings, staff, and Camp Leadership debriefs.
