We are hiring Climbing Program Specialists for our Overnight Camps: Camp Windy Peak in Bailey, CO and Camp Blue Sky in Evergreen, CO. Instructors are the cornerstone of our team, providing support, mentorship, and instruction to our campers with enthusiasm and passion. Instructors provide 24-hour care for our campers and act as their primary support while in cabin, on/off property, on expeditions, and more. This is an incredible opportunity for someone looking to make a lasting impact for dozens of campers this summer.

We have Day Camp Mountain Biking AND Climbing Program Specialist positions available at multiple program locations across the US. If you’re interested in being considered for other locations – be sure to let us know!

In this role you will

Co-lead groups of up to 13 campers in age and developmentally appropriate instruction with outdoor activities including rock climbing, Leave No Trace principles, and teambuilding.
You may be asked to also instruct paddling and climbing – training provided.
Serve as a role model and guide campers by exhibiting appropriate behavior, attitudes, and activities.
Follow and educate campers on safety protocols to ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants.
Provide exceptional customer service to parents and all participants in our programs.

Work Schedule

Resident camps are a 24/7 operation. The resident camp leadership team will create a schedule that provides you with one evening off/week and segments of other time off throughout the week.
Mandatory training begins May 20. Programs begin June 11 and run through August 5.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements

Camp drivers must be at least 21 years old at the start of camp and possess a valid driver's license. Ability to serve as a camp driver is preferred but not required.
Climb Specialists should have personal and/or professional climbing experience with a thorough knowledge of common climbing knots and technical skills. Applicants should be comfortable setting top ropes.
