Overview
Berkshire East Mountain Resort is seeking a Patrol Director to oversee both skiing and mountain biking patrol operations. We encourage applicants interested in one or both seasons to apply. Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in ski patrol operations, with leadership roles preferred.
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR.
Current OEC, WFR, or EMT certification.
Ability to safely ski all winter trails; ability to ride a minimum of intermediate downhill mountain bike trails.
Mental focus and attentiveness in high-pressure situations.
Adaptability to work in extreme weather conditions.
Communication Skills; Managerial Skills; Leadership; Self-Motivation.
Proficiency in computer systems.
Required Skills:
Frequently physically demanding position; requires standing, bending, climbing, lifting, twisting, and reaching repetitively.
Need and desire to competently ski/ ride on a daily basis.
Operate various equipment, including vehicles, UTVs, snowmobiles.
Flexibility for long shifts, early mornings, and potential late-night search and rescue operations.
Regular weekend and holiday shifts are required.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
