Title: Summer Camp Health Care Worker
Reports to: Camp Manager
Location: Jamestown, CO with some training hours spent in Brighton, CO
Salary: $2,000 Stipend with lodging and meals provided during camp sessions
Duration: June 19-June 27, 2025 and July 6-July 11, 2025, with additional training for 1 day in the final week of May.
Purpose: The Summer Camp Health Care Provider oversees the health and wellness of overnight camp participants (ages 12-17) and staff by dispensing prescribed and over-the-counter medications and providing basic first aid. The Summer Camp Health Care Provider is also responsible for maintaining camper and staff health forms, keeping medication, illness, and injury logs, and communicating with camp families regarding their camper’s health and wellness.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience Required:
Physician, Physician's Assistant, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Certified Nursing Assistant.

Able to clear state and federal background checks and drug screens

Required Skills:

Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications to program participants and staff per written protocol at designated times
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication administration and illness/injury care delivered to campers and staff per written protocol
Report illness, injury, and abuse to proper authorities when necessary per written protocol
Live on site in close proximity to participants and staff during overnight camp

Preferred Skills:

Prior experience in day and/or overnight camp or school settings
