Overview
Field Instructors work a 2 week on, 2 week off shift. Our instructors live in the field and work directly with a group of clients during their two-week shift. They are responsible for the group’s medication distribution, overseeing meal preparation, leading daily group rituals, and the overall well-being of our clients. They also assist with teaching our clients primitive living skills, how to use their gear and equipment, completing their curriculum, and how they can be a contributing group member in order for successful growth in the program.
Qualifications:
21 years of age or older
Ability to pass physical and drug screen
Ability to commute to job site
Comfortable in all seasons
Experience preferred in working with at-risk youth but not required
CPR, First Aid (can obtain after hire)
Required Skills:
Ability to live in outdoor backpack setting
Preferred Skills:
Comfortable working with at-risk youth, comfortable in all weather conditions, comfortable hiking up to 12 miles in a day.
