Be responsible for the administration and management of Campus Recreation’s Outdoor Program. This includes but is not limited to: outdoor rental center operations, inventory management, and equipment maintenance; program design, development and implementation; staff hiring, training, and supervision of student employees; and education delivery to students, staff, and Rec Center members. Major responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations of a large, complex outdoor rental center, coordinating and leading outdoor trips (day trips, overnights, and extended trips), and the ongoing training, implementation, and assessment of risk management protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two (2) years of experience in a similar position including one (1) year of managerial experience with demonstrated skills in the same type of work

About Boise State University Outdoor Program

Boise State University Outdoor Program is a student-run organization that provides students with connection, community, and leadership opportunities.
The Outdoor Program has a year-round Outdoor Rental Center for students and the Boise community offering a variety of gear from a robust rafting and kayak fleet to alpine skiing and snowboarding rentals. We have a climbing gym that has over 20 top rope sections and 5 lead sections with a boulder area and offers multiple climbing clinics and classes. The trips program leads 85 trips year-round from rafting, kayaking, backpacking, skiing/snowboarding, climbing, and biking. These range from day trips to overnights as well as week-long trips. We also create custom trips and teambuilding programs for the Boise State campus community. The program has 2 professional staff, a Graduate Assistant, and around 45 student staff.
