Overview
Camp Fernwood in Poland, Maine is looking for RN’s and NP’s for the 2025 camp season (June 13-August 8th). Established in 1921, we are a traditional summer camp for girls situated in a beautiful outdoor lakeside setting in southern Maine. We take pride in taking good care of our staff – with a staff to camper ratio of 1 : 1.5, allowing for adequate time off and flexibility.
Our infirmary is staffed with 4-5 experienced RN’s and a Nurse Practitioner. Typical responsibilities include dispensing pre-packaged daily medications to the camp community, administering basic first aid and TLC, and record keeping. Most importantly we are looking for energetic people who can work as part of a team, love children, and enjoy the outdoors. If you’re a people person, you’ll love working with us.
We encourage all of our nurses and staff to be involved in camp by taking advantage of all that camp has to offer – learn to waterski, shoot a bow, dabble in the arts, or sit by the lake and relax. About Camp Fernwood
At Fernwood, you will be teaching girls ages 8-15 who have varying levels of experience. The successful candidate will be joining 150 other staff members from all over the world, where he or she will be residing in an all girls, seven-week program filled with many different activities.
