Overview
Our Trip Leaders take groups of campers, ranging from 10 to 14 years of age on two to four-day wilderness trips. Activities include canoeing, hiking, and camping.
As a trip leader, you will work with a co-leader and Glen Brook’s program director in creating and organizing expeditions that are appropriate for each age group and ability. You will be responsible for all logistical aspects of the trips from meal planning and preparing, driving, guiding, and facilitating the experiences for the campers. You will also be supported by the group’s cabin counselors. Technical and logistical experience is essential, as is passion and experience working with a wide age range of children.
Qualifications:
-Experience in planning, leading and supervising overnight camping trips
-WFA or WFR preferred
-Must be 21 years old or older
Required Skills:
-Outdoor leadership experience
-Enthusiasm for children and the natural world
Preferred Skills:
Ability to canoe and teach canoe strokes
Camp cooking skills
About Camp Glen Brook
Camp Glen Brook is a year-round outdoor education facility. We are set apart by our small size, our home grown home cooked farm-to-table food, and our background in Waldorf Education. We serve school groups throughout the fall and spring, we run a Summer Camp, and we run a fall and spring Gap semester program.
