Provide overall direction for health and safety of campers and staff, assist in training staff in health and wellness both on island and on wilderness trips, organize all med-kits for trips and department areas, perform basic physicals for campers upon arrival to camp and after trips, organize and dispense all camper medication, maintain the camp infirmary including bedrooms where campers may sleep, review standing orders and protocol with camp medical director, create list and post all camper allergies, transport all campers needing medical attention in town as well as be involved in all evacuation decisions.
Individuals, based on interest and experience, may be eligible to help lead canoe trips through southern Ontario.
RN, EMT, WEMT, or Paramedic
About Camp Kooch-i-ching
Camp Kooch-i-ching is a residential summer camp for boys ages 8 to 18. During a typical four-week session, campers live in cabins with their peers, participate in a wide variety of classes, games and community service activities, and go on extended canoe and backpacking trips—all designed to build strong character and lifelong leadership skills. Our mission statement is to inspire the growth of young men through fun and challenging wilderness adventures that promote self-discovery, teamwork and service to others.
