Overview
Charlotte Latin School seeks an Assistant Director of Leadership Development for a full-time, 11 month position that will begin in August, 2022. The Assistant Director of Leadership Development is a student-centered role that supports the comprehensive K-12 implementation of the schools leadership development program, Latin Leads with Honor. Reporting to the Director of Leadership Development, the Assistant Director is primarily responsible for facilitating efforts that foster transformative leadership education and engagement opportunities for students. The Assistant Director of Leadership Development is a full-time, 11-month employee.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Leads with Honor team to deliver classroom and challenge course programming.
In partnership with the Director of Leadership Development, work with other school personnel to create and implement additional curriculum and programming that aligns with the Schools strategic priorities in leadership development.
Oversee and manage student centered clubs, organizations and experiences that promote leadership development.
Serve as a resource for faculty and students on team building and leadership development initiatives.
Partner with external organizations to coordinate student and faculty engagement.
Foster relationships to effectively advance leadership efforts with all school constituencies.
Participate in professional development opportunities.
Collaborate with facilities, academic divisions, and other departments to manage logistics and organize onsite needs to support leadership development.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred
5+ years Experiential Education experience
Background in Leadership and Character Development
Classroom experience preferred
Preferred Skills:
Facilitation techniques with multiple age levels
Knowledge of challenge course protocols and programming
Proficiency in Google Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Capable of working independently and collaborating with others
Exceptional organizational skills
