Overview

The Rental Director provides both professional hospitality leadership and customer-centered service to all guest groups. This role is responsible for overseeing the camp’s rental program, building strong client relationships, coordinating logistics, and ensuring a high-quality experience for every group. The Rental Director works closely with food service, housekeeping, facilities, and program staff to create a welcoming environment where guests—whether churches, schools, nonprofits, or businesses—can experience rest, renewal, and meaningful connection.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Care
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all rental groups, offering excellent customer service rooted in hospitality.
• Meet the needs of diverse groups from faith-based organizations to corporate groups to schools to community partners.
• Anticipate guest needs and ensure a seamless, positive experience from inquiry to departure.
Operational Coordination
• Oversee scheduling, contracts, billing, and rental records.
• Collaborate with kitchen, housekeeping, and maintenance staff to prepare facilities and meals to professional standards.
• Provide on-site leadership during group arrivals, events, and departures.
• Train and support seasonal staff and volunteers in guest service excellence.
Marketing & Outreach
• Build relationships with churches, ministries, schools, nonprofits, and corporate clients.
• Develop and share promotional materials, website updates, and social media content highlighting both the mission and the professional quality of the camp.
• Represent the camp at conferences, expos, and community events.
Administration & Reporting
• Maintain accurate rental data, contracts, and financial records.
• Contribute to budget planning, monitor revenue goals, and steward resources wisely.
• Collect guest feedback and implement improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, liability, and risk management policies.
Salary

$40,000-$48,000/SC state employee health plan/ housing included. EOE.

Qualifications:

Qualifications
• Passion for camps and retreats combined with a professional approach to hospitality and client care.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• 4 year degree preferred.
• Experience in event planning, hospitality, or sales preferred.
• Ability to adapt to weekend/evening work schedules as needed.
• Proficiency with office and booking software; marketing/social media skills a plus.
