Overview
As an integral member of the Camp Administrative Team, the Operations Manager ensures smooth program logistics, external communication and scheduling. Coastal Camp at NatureBridge is a summer day camp designed to combine marine and coastal ecology themes with hands-on educational activities and games, providing exciting opportunities for discovery in the great outdoors. The role is a full-time, seasonal position beginning May 3, 2021. This position is expected to run 15 or 16 weeks, but the ability to offer programs depends on state and county Covid-19 restrictions, so we are unable to guarantee a minimum number of work weeks. The end date will be no later than August 20, 2021.
Communicate with Coastal Camp families to make changes and updates, answer questions and ensure readiness for camp each week
Create camper groups and health and safety reports
Create weekly staff and operations schedules
Oversee daily camper attendance, including drop off and pick up
Communicate with other operations and facilities staff to ensure a safe, comfortable experience for all staff and participants
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree and two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in education or operations roles
Proficiency with using CRM systems and G-suite
Time management and organizational skills
Customer service and communication skills
Valid driver's license
Preferred Skills:
Experience in summer camps and/or environmental education
Experience with Salesforce and Active Network
Experience with education-related operations administration
Experience creating staff schedules
Experience or training in equity and inclusion work
Involvement in relevant community service projects and volunteer projects
