Coastal Camp at NatureBridge is a summer, day camp designed to combine marine and coastal ecology themes with hands-on educational activities and games, providing exciting opportunities for discovery in the great outdoors. As an integral member of the Camp Administrative Team, the Camp Mentor Teacher supervises educators, oversees curriculum and assists with program operations and staff logistics for Coastal Camp. The role is a full-time, seasonal position beginning May 3, 2021. This position is expected to run 15 or 16 weeks, but the ability to offer programs depends on state and county Covid-19 restrictions, so we are unable to guarantee a minimum number of work weeks. The end date will be no later than August 20, 2021.

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree and two years related experience in summer camp or experiential education; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to implement and model excellent risk management practices
Experience or training in equity and inclusion work
Time management and organizational skills
Wilderness First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification before beginning employment
Valid driver's license

Preferred Skills:

Experience training and supervising staff
Experience developing environmental science curriculum
Experience working with currently and historically marginalized groups
Involvement in community service projects and volunteer projects
Proficiency with Google Suite
