Overview

Instructs and oversees the College Outdoors whitewater rafting program. Manages the College Outdoors Sequoia gear warehouse, kitchen,
vehicles, and trailers to support the risk management, logistics, and program needs for the 100+ outdoor trips offered to the Lewis & Clark community each year. Annually leads up to 10+ outdoor training clinics and trips. Works closely with training 60+ student
leaders and managing up to 20+ part time student workers. This position orders specialty outdoor gear, assists with strategic planning, manages gear and vehicle rentals, and oversees the maintenance of College Outdoors vehicles, trailers, and over $1,500,000 in outdoor gear.
Union position, non-exempt, starting wage $26.33/hr. plus overtime for weekend or evening work. Full time (37.5 hrs/wk) with benefits.

Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree or two years of full time college coursework

3-4 years of experience in an outdoor-related field including supervisory responsibilities. • Familiarity with, and ability to train others in the use of, computer software: word processing, spreadsheet, web software, electronic mail, and file back up programs.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Wilderness First Responder training.

Fairly clean driving record
