Overview

The Development Coordinator will support and enhance the fundraising activities of the school as the organization increases its annual giving over the next three years in support of its strategic plan.  

The Development Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating existing annual giving initiatives and special events like the Black Tie and Tennis Shoes and developing new annual giving initiatives and events with a growing network of supporters. This position will support grant writing for program and scholarship needs including coordination with the student services department to support a growing scholarship program with local partnerships.  

Success in this position will be determined by the growth of existing and new initiatives; growth in performance of the annual gala; and strong coordination across marketing, student services, and program departments. Flexibility, confidence, strong professional communication skills, and a positive attitude are essential.

Qualifications:

Develop and execute annual appeal mailing and electronic communication, including segmentation for relevant groups.  

Develop and execute annual scholarship mailing. 

Manage annual impact report including donor acknowledgement, story line, and student and program data. Coordinate distribution of mailing.  

Support peer to peer fundraising activities of boards and other supporters.  

General donor cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation throughout year. 

Required Skills:

Previous development or nonprofit experience.

Exceptional writing skills – must be clear, concise, and compelling. 

Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite, database platforms, and research tools. Salesforce experience a plus.   

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, follow-through, and meeting deadlines with quality deliverables. 

Comfortable managing concurrent initiatives and projects simultaneously.
