Overview
Position Summary:
The Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator supports the organization’s recruitment processes to hire and enroll more than 250+ AmeriCorps (ages 18-30) and 250+ Youth (ages 15-18) positions. This position works in coordination with CCMI’s recruitment manager, recruitment marketing team, and program staff to successfully recruit a diverse pool of talent for service in CCMI programs. Key responsibilities include recruitment planning, job postings, applicant screening and processing. In addition, this position is responsible for community outreach in and around the region in which CCMI works, including relationship development, strategic partnerships, and participation in community events. The coordinator will recruit, engage and track volunteers for this event including existing Corpsmembers, CCMI alumni, CCMI board members, corporate volunteers and community members.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment
• Work in conjunction with recruitment manager to help build and maintain relationships with key sourcing channels including higher education, community partnerships, current members and alumni. This includes participating in and traveling to job/career fairs and community events, presentations and/or conversations with career centers, educators, and student leadership to strengthen and promote the organization’s presence in the community.
• Assist in diversifying applicant sources through a variety of channels including websites, job boards, networking, community partnerships, social media and other external platforms.
• Manage job and position postings on external websites.
• Utilize and serve as primary user for key recruitment platforms such as Handshake, Indeed and key national service platforms.
• Collaborate with and provide support to hiring managers- providing assistance with drafting positions, screening applicants, and hiring/onboarding.
• Use applicant tracking system to screen applicants for AmeriCorps eligibly and minimum qualifications.
• Provide timely communication and accurate messaging to leads and candidates ensuring a positive candidate experience.
• Work closely with the marketing and communications team to ensure branding and messaging consistency in all recruitment materials, online job profiles, media, and advertising of positions.
• Serve as an ambassador of CCMI through building communication channels with current members and alumni.
• Provide recruitment support for new and existing program initiatives across the organization.
• Track recruitment efforts and use data to evaluate, suggest and track improvements.
Outreach and Engagement
• Work with the recruitment manager to implement tactics and measure progress against the organization’s established JEDI goals with focus on building relationships and trust with underrepresented communities.
• Proactively seek opportunities to expand CCMI’s presence in the community, specifically focusing on identifying and building new connections.

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years professional work experience.
• Excellent communication skills, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Outgoing, self-starter, comfortable with speaking on behalf of and representing CCMI with external audiences.
• Proven ability to work effectively with, interact and communicate with individuals coming from diverse backgrounds and communities.
