This is a professional leader within the organization who works with the leadership team and the Executive Director to further the educational programs and the mission of Cottonwood Gulch Expeditions (CGE): to create outdoor learning adventures for youth from all
backgrounds that foster personal growth, strengthen community, and inspire environmental stewardship.
Job Objective: CGE’s Business Manager is responsible for keeping our daily business operations functioning smoothly. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, self-directed, comfortable with numbers, and ready to create and implement systems that will help the Gulch achieve its mission.

Qualifications:

● Applicants must be at least 21 years of age by the position start date and possess a valid driver’s license. Must have a clean driving history and be able to meet the criteria for CGE vehicle insurance coverage.
● Strong organizational skills.
● Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide range of audiences. ● Experience in business management, office management, or related work.
● Experience with and/or ability to learn Quickbooks, Google Drive, Adobe products, etc.

Preferred Skills:

● Degree in business, communications, or related field.
● Ability to camp and travel with CGE educational programs, including overnight and extended programs. Work hours on field programs are frequently outside of traditional office hours.
● Experience as an outdoor educator or similar role, managing risk, supervising other field staff, and independently running programs.
● Fluent in Spanish and/or Native Indigenous languages of New Mexico.
● Experience with development work, including fundraising.
