Lead Instructor, part time and full time Summer positions available in Portland.
Also looking for head instructors who are interested in year round work in the Portland region.
We also have traveling positions available for Oregon, Washington and Colorado, just ask.

Many of our Portland-based camps happen at beautiful Mary S Young State Park. Typically working with up to 14 youth and a co-instructor, we teach skills including fire, knife work, shelter, foraging, knots, tracking, navigation and more. Camps typically run from 9am-4pm. This year, our first week of Camps is June 21 and we have staff training the week of June 14th in Corvallis. There are opportunities to train prior as well.

Instructor positions are diverse in nature and no one instructor needs to have expertise in all of our course content areas. Courses/camps include Wilderness Survival and Primitive Skills, Fishing, Archery and more. We have age appropriate programs for youth between the ages of 3-17. Some Summer Instructor positions involve weekly travel and itinerant/camping/’van-life’ living.

This job provides training, autonomy and professional creativity, outdoor work and the opportunity to make a difference for youth.
