-Provide guest orientations and skills training.
-Safely drive shuttles to wilderness entry points.
-Accurately and efficiently clean, organize, and store canoes and outfitting equipment.
-Accurately handle customer payments.
-Clean and turnover bunkhouse.
-Provide general shop and grounds maintenance and upkeep.
-Maintain the highest level of friendly and professional guest services.
-Completion of two years of college credit or equivalent experience preferred.
-Ability to commit to at least 10 weeks of employment between May 1 and Oct. 1.
-Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
-Ability to work weekends.
-Ability to lift and move 42 to 55 pound canoes and equipment regularly, and boats weighing up to 85 pounds occasionally.
-Desire to learn more about wilderness tripping.
-Genuine interest in wilderness adventure.

Ely Outfitting Company specializes in Boundary Waters Canoe trips and offers all the necessary outfitting and guiding services to get everyone from first time paddlers to repeat anglers hooked up with what they need for a successful trip.
We rent gear, guide trips, provide shuttle services, and instruct individuals with how to travel and live in the back country. Each year we work with people from across the country and around the globe. Our team of about 9 full time summer staff plus a handful of part time drivers work hard together to ensure we provide exceptional experiences while supporting one another. The company is committed to environmental advocacy as well as ensuring individuals have the time and resources to explore the Boundary Waters just out their back door.
