Leads and supports programs and activities involved with MetroParks’ programming, community outreach, and special events. Supports the Outdoor Recreation Division’s administrative operations, equipment maintenance and management, and other functions. Provides input and support to division coordinators.
Develops, and leads a variety of backpacking, camping, and hiking programs for all ages. Supports other program areas as able including paddlesports, cycling, mountain biking, fishing, and special events. Helps develop Dayton, Ohio into The Outdoor Adventure Capital of the Midwest!
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A combination of appropriate education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification is:
Associate’s degree in outdoor recreation management or closely related field and one year experience in outdoor recreation programming. Willingness and ability to work varied schedule.
