If you are an aspiring adventure filmmaker, recreation manager, travel planner, nature guide, outdoor instructor, or storyteller, this might be a good fit for you.
We are looking for an intern who can create and lead outdoor recreation skills workshops, events, and/or programs. Our primary focus will be engaging the public with outdoor skills over digital platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, etc.
Responsibilities include live videos, synchronous/asynchronous learning, instructional content creation, remote/onsite event planning and leadership. Activities include hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, climbing/ropework, canoeing, kayaking, and wilderness medicine.
We have an immediate opening for a fall, winter, spring, summer internship. Timeframe is negotiable. The starting date could be as soon as possible and conclude either by the holidays or extend through summer break. Full-time and/or part-time, onsite and/or remote work, depending on the availability and fit of the intern.
The internship includes a $4000 stipend spread hourly across the period of their internship. Additionally, interns have the opportunity to participate in training/professional development at reduced or entirely subsidized cost, depending upon need. Free housing may be available.

• Possession of valid driver’s license
• Must have experience with and ability to use smartphone, including but not
limited to social media platforms, digital cameras, G Suite Apps, etc.
• Pass a criminal background check

Required Skills:

• Strong skills in outdoor leadership and participating in outdoor activities.
• Active on social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, etc.
• Must be able to work on multiple tasks and be flexible with changes in project priorities

Preferred Skills:

• Currently enrolled in college and working towards a Bachelor's or Associate’s Degree
• Certifications in Wilderness First Aid, CPR, AED, (Wilderness) Lifeguarding, etc.
• Membership in WEA, AORE, AEE, etc.
