Overview

Position responsibilities: Qualified candidates will have experience in a commercial food preparation environment. Candidate should be cheerful and outgoing, able to rise early and work long hours, and comfortable in all aspects of food service. Cook will be responsible for preparing, serving and cleaning up to 3 meals per day for 5-7 days per week. Candidate will be responsible for supervision of campers, counselors, and volunteers who may assist with meal preparation, service and clean-up. Candidate should be flexible, as some days we will not require food service. Typical meal schedules are: Breakfast 7:30 am, Lunch 12:30 pm, Dinner 6:30 pm. Camp typically serves between 15 and 25 people at each meal.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:
1) Experience in a commercial kitchen.
2) First aid, CPR and Serv-safe sanitation certifications, or ability to obtain.
3) Energy, enthusiasm and a healthy attitude toward children.
4) High standards of moral character and personal hygiene.
5) Desire to uphold and share Christian values with campers in a positive environment.

Required Skills:

Must be comfortable around children. Must pass a background check.

Preferred Skills:

Experience:
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, at a summer camp, dude ranch, school or similar program preferred, but not required.
