About Holden Village
Holden Village is a remote retreat center located in the North Cascades, 10 miles up the Railroad Creek Valley from Lake Chelan. Over the course of 50 years, Holden Village has been transformed from a copper mining town to a vibrant place of education, programming, and worship. Holden welcomes all, regardless of religious beliefs, who seek contemplation and community in the wilderness of the beautiful Cascades. The Glacier Peak Wilderness Area begins just a mile from the Village, and the Pacific Crest Trail connects to the Valley's trail system about 12 miles from the Village. Room and board is provided to staff members, as is limited internet access. Benefits to staff members also include the use of Holden's facilities including sauna, Jacuzzi, pool hall and bowling alley, art and pottery studios, ice cream shop, and library and access to Holden's programming such as teaching sessions and art and pottery classes.
