The Hyde Wilderness School is part of the Hyde Schools organization, a non-profit enterprise encompassing wilderness education, private boarding campuses, day schools, teacher training programs and national family workshops. Hyde is a nationally recognized leader in character education. Based in Stratton, ME, the Hyde Wilderness School now primarily serves the families of the 100 students enrolled on Hyde’s residential campuses in Bath, ME. The mission of the program is to provide experiences that offer individuals and families defining moments in the wilderness.

BS/BA, WFR, CPR (preferred). The successful candidate will have significant previous wilderness experience involving education and trip-leading, and is an exceptional teacher. Required Skills:

Ability and desire to connect with teenage students is a must. The Hyde school has a diverse student population so having the ability to read the situation will prove necessary. Faculty member must be able to spend lengths of time away from family/significant other. Must enjoy outdoor time in all types of weather and seasons. Pets are welcome.
