Full time Wilderness Faculty position open to those who wish to work with students in the great Northern Maine outdoors. Year round employment with year round opportunities to guide and mentor high school students.

Qualifications:

backcountry travel skills, leads with the heart, WFR or WFA. Position is open to all those who show ample experience in the outdoors and a desire to help students in their formative years.

Required Skills:

Experience with wilderness medical procedures, canoeing, orienteering, ecology, and a desire to mentor students.
At least 3 years experience of working in the outdoor setting with students.

Preferred Skills:

Our Wilderness Program prefers adults who are creative, introspective and patient. We would love it if you had ample experience in the backcountry and loved working with a team.

About Hyde Wilderness School

The Hyde Wilderness School is located in northern Maine on 640 acres at the foot of the iconic Bigelow Mountain range. A dream come true for anyone who like to work with youth in a pristine setting! Programming ranges from Wellness Retreats to Summer camp programs to Family wilderness programs.
