OUR VISION FOR THIS ROLE:
Thailand has been JUMP’s global headquarters for the last 5 years, and our audacious goal is to offer the best experiential education programs in the region. The Assistant Program Director will play a key part in driving JUMP towards this goal. This individual will have a passion for building innovative and intentional experiential education programs, valuing outdoor education and cultural exploration. This individual will have a passion for Thailand, and a vision for how to engage students in experiences that deepens their connection to Thailand, as well as deepen their connection to themselves and their communities through creating inspiring experiences across the country.
The Assistant Program Director will take responsibility for supporting program quality, program innovation & risk management for experiential education programs across the Southeast Asia region. Assistant Program Director will effectively solve problems through individual initiative; accurately communicate with the JUMP! Foundation’s multicultural and international client base; and contribute to the total efforts of a small, dedicated team.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Assistant Program Director will have competence and flexibility in a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Support the design and development of experiential education programs in Thailand
Develop and deepen connections at program locations to outdoor skill-building, cultural engagement and ecological literacy.
Support the trip management process for all programs and associated program curriculum development in collaboration with educators
Support execution of the Risk Management System (Risk Assessment, Risk Management Plans, Reporting & Emergency Response)
Manage on-campus preparation and training for students and staff for experiential education programs
Support in the management of external partner relationships and communications with local providers and vendors
Support the Monitoring and Evaluation of programs (Pre-program survey, post-program survey, Impact analysis & End Program Report)
Develop and manage student engagement and leadership opportunities in programs.
Support with oversight of the Program Management process for all programs.
Support the development of Program Resources, including Program Specific Handbooks for Students, Educators and Facilitators.
Support with oversight of program financial processes, and perform financial management KPIs for programs
Train and coach program staff in high-quality program management and facilitation
Mentoring Contract Program Managers and Facilitation Teams (pre-program, in-program & post-program)

Qualifications:

Project management skills: experience in managing multiple programs of varying sizes with diverse objectives
Team management skills: experience managing and mentoring high-performing program teams
Program design skills: experience in designing experiential education programs and curriculum objectives
Financial management skills: able to create and manage complex budgets and expense tracking systems and report on financial targets
5+ years of management experience

Required Skills:

Passion for working within cross-cultural environments
Flexible and able to travel extensively within the assigned country and within the region
Self-starting and welcomes personal and professional development
Strong interpersonal and networking skills
Prior experience living and working abroad, in multicultural contexts
Experience designing, developing and facilitating educational youth programs

The JUMP! Foundation is a non-profit organization that believes in inspiring, empowering, and engaging youth through collaborative and innovative experiential learning programs. JUMP! offers a series of leadership activities suited for students at international schools and universities, including in-school workshops (JUMP! Schools programs) and outdoor adventure trips (JUMP! Experiences programs). We facilitate participants to develop personal, community, and inter-community leadership skills. To help realize our vision for a world in which young people fulfill their true potential, JUMP! invests in an internal Development Fund.
