Overview
The Program Director, International, will be crucial in driving JUMP’s programs outside of South East Asia + Canada. This individual will be passionate about building innovative and intentional experiential education programs, valuing outdoor education and cultural exploration. This individual will have a passion for youth programming and a vision for how to engage students in experiences worldwide.
The Program Director, International will have competence and flexibility in a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Lead the design and development of experiential education programs internationally
Support the design and development of JUMP! programs across the world.
Develop and deepen connections at program locations to outdoor skill-building, cultural engagement and ecological literacy.
Direct the trip management process for all programs and associated program curriculum development in collaboration with educators.
Manage execution of the Risk Management System (Risk Assessment, Risk Management Plans, Reporting & Emergency Response)
Manage on-campus preparation and training for students and staff for experiential education programs.
Manage external partner relationships and communications with providers, vendors, + partners.
Direct and manage the Monitoring and Evaluation of programs (Pre-program survey, post-program survey, Impact analysis & End of Program Report)
Develop and manage student engagement and leadership opportunities in programs.
Directing, overseeing and executing the Program Management process for all assigned programs.
Develop Program Resources, including Program Specific Handbooks for Students, Educators and Facilitators.
Manage and oversee program financial processes, and perform financial management KPIs for programs.
Train and coach program staff in high-quality program management and facilitation
Manage Contract Program Managers and Facilitation Teams (pre-program, in-program & post-program)
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in program management of experiential education programs internationally
Background in experiential education, program design and facilitating off-campus programs
Passion for working with youth
WAFA (Wilderness Advanced First Aid) Qualification or above. (Or an openness to undertaking this certification)
Experience in managing and mentoring team members
Attentive to detail, task-oriented, resourceful, and able to meet deadlines
Required Skills:
Experience working internationally and sensitivity to cross-cultural engagement.
Strong interpersonal and networking skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
Group Facilitating & Supervision skills
Flexible and able to travel extensively
About JUMP! Foundation
The JUMP! Foundation is a non-profit organization that believes in inspiring, empowering, and engaging youth through collaborative and innovative experiential learning programs. JUMP! offers a series of leadership activities suited for students at international schools and universities, including in-school workshops (JUMP! Schools programs) and outdoor adventure trips (JUMP! Experiences programs). We facilitate participants to develop personal, community, and inter-community leadership skills. To help realize our vision for a world in which young people fulfill their true potential, JUMP! invests in an internal Development Fund. This fund is used to run experiential youth-focused development projects around the world.
