Overview
The Discovery Overnight Camp Programs Manager is responsible for managing and implementing all Overnight camp programs during the summer months. The Discovery Overnight Camp Programs Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation of all elements of KSS Overnight camp programs including staffing, training, administrative, financial management, and program development. The Discovery Overnight Camp Programs Manager will also oversee all aspects of permitting, safety, licensing, equipment, and logistics associated with all Overnight Camp programs. The Overnight Camp Programs Manager will hire, train, and directly supervise seasonal summer leadership staff, and seasonal discovery overnight camp staff. In collaboration with the Programs Director and marketing team, the Discovery Overnight Camp Programs Manager will also develop new programs and curriculum.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree;
1 year management experience;
2 years experience developing outdoor youth programming;
2 years experience with current practices of risk management in the outdoor industry;
Current Wilderness First Responder and CPR certification, from an approved vendor, or the ability to obtain;
21 years of age and, meet extensive background check criteria and criteria regarding clearance to drive KSS vehicles

Strategic thinker who communicates professionally and effectively with diverse staff, volunteers, donors, prospects, and community stakeholders.
Ability to maintain consistent exercise of discretion and confidentiality
Preferred Skills:
Rock Climbing experience
Basic comprehension of the Spanish language, written and/or verbal.
Knowledge of outdoor education and K-12 science education.
