Overview

The Media Specialist brings the story of summer camp to our camp families and larger audience through various forms of media including video, photo, and written copy. Each day brings new opportunities to participate in and capture the magic moments of campers’ adventures and activities. In addition to taking photos and filming video clips, the Media Specialist will work closely with a cross-departmental group of team members to collect, manage, and share content with our camp families. All collected media will be shared daily with our families through , ‘Camp Today,’ a password protected media storage software, along with the production of a weekly camp video which is presented after each session of overnight camp during the Camp Closing Celebration. The Media Specialist will join our campers to film their activities during rafting, hikes, camping trips, field trips and more outdoor activities.

Required Skills:

Required Education, Experience, and Certifications
A minimum of 3 months of media production experience or education with a media focus.;
Proficiency with Adobe CC (Lightroom, Photoshop, Premier, etc.)
Proficiency with Google Suite;
Current (or the ability to obtain) a First Aid & CPR certification; or ability to obtain
Excellent driving record and a valid driver's license;
Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive background check.

Preferred Skills:

In addition to the above required talents, our ideal candidate will have these preferred skillsets:
Digital/web portfolio of related work;
Social media experience
CPR certification, from an approved vendor, or the ability to obtain before the first day of employment;
Ability to communicate verbally in Spanish.
