Overview
The Operations and Logistics Assistant will work directly with the Site Manager or Administrative Staff on Site, focusing on the logistics behind our weekly summer camp program. This position will include Gear/Prep Room support, helping with Summer Camp drop offs and pickups, and general program support as needed. Occasionally, this position may have opportunities to assist in guiding.
Qualifications:
18 years or older
Available Late May through August (Tentatively, May 30 - Aug. 10, 2024)
Ability to work 4-5 days/week, 8-10 hours a day during regular duty
California Food Handlers Certificate
Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. A reliable method of transportation is preferred.
Wilderness First Aid Certification (or higher)
Solid communication and leadership skills
Strong organizational skills
A passion for the outdoors
Preferred Skills:
Logistics or operations experience
Familiarity with backpacking equipment maintenance and repair
Backpacking and/or hiking experience
If scheduled in the field, ability to work longer stretches than the above-mentioned during overnight trips and ability to carry a backpack of up to 60 pounds for multiple days
