Mountain Studies Institute is excited to announce that we are expanding our team. We are looking for candidates to fulfill the versatile role of Associate Director of our Water Program, based in Silverton, CO. This leadership position will assist MSI’s Water Program Director in developing and managing research and initiatives related to water resources, water quality, hydrology, and watershed restoration; and incorporating water-focused elements into broader efforts in landscape ecology, ecosystem services, and watershed management. The Associate Director requires extensive, year-round backcountry travel experience and a minimum of AIARE I avalanche training. This position will also oversee the data collection and management needs for our hydro-technical, ecosystem and climate research.
