The National Center for Outdoor & Adventure Education (NCOAE) — an organization that’s on a mission to design and deliver handcrafted outdoor and adventure education experiences that promote personal growth, professional development, and stewardship in our communities and the nature environment — has an immediate opening for a full-time Associate Program Director.

Serving in a hands-on capacity, the Associate Program Director is responsible for supervising and evaluating staff members and instructors, as well as managing technical sites and overseeing logistical details in order to deliver handcrafted outdoor education courses and wilderness expeditions for our school partners and students in course areas.

High School diploma or equivalent required — Bachelor’s degree (or progress towards a degree) in related field preferred
Prior experience working in wilderness programs, outdoor education, residential summer camps, or related field
2-4 years prior experience working in logistical/support staff position. Prior experience working in supervisory role
Current WFR (wilderness first responder) and CPR certifications. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Excellent communication skills

Preferred Skills:

Language fluency: English required, Spanish preferred
