The Development Associate will play a critical role in strengthening and building the schools donor pipeline. They will help the development team think strategically about donor engagement and how to enhance the relationship of donors increasing the likelihood of continued contributions. The Development Associate will conduct meetings with donors and prospects to determine capacity for giving and may move prospects capable of higher gift amounts to major gift or senior fundraising staff. They will collaborate with the NOLS Fund Director on the annual appeal process for middle and loyal donors as well as work with the stewardship coordinator to oversee a comprehensive donor acknowledgement and recognition plan to support donors. Additionally, they will help plan, organize and assist with donor specific events and trips.
Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills. The ability to work closely with a team to coordinate on projects and meet deadlines. Experience in managing and tracking multiple prospects and donors while implementing an individualized cultivation, solicitation and recognition plan for their portfolio. Familiarity with donor tracking software is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ experience or equivalent combination.
