Overview
As a NOLS Teton Valley Winter Program Supervisor, you will work as part of the Teton Valley program team to supervise field faculty, ensure program quality, and promote high-quality educational experiences for all Teton Valley-based winter field courses. You will provide instructor teams with curriculum, route, and risk management support, facilitate conversations within instructor teams, give feedback, evaluate performance, and mentor career development for field staff. You will also hold the evacuation phone on a rotating basis. As the Teton Valley has a short busy season and a small staff, you will be asked to assist with other departments as available/needed.
About NOLS
NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) is a nonprofit global wilderness school that supports thousands of students each year all over the world. Our school began in a small cabin in Sinks Canyon, Wyoming in 1965 as the National Outdoor Leadership School. At that time, we were primarily an outdoors skills school, doing our work in local mountain ranges and exploring what it meant to teach leadership in the backcountry. Today, we are NOLS, a multifaceted wilderness school headquartered in Lander, Wyoming with locations in seven U.S. states and six countries, that supports thousands of students each year all over the world in both field & classroom courses.
