Overview

SUMMARY
North Cascades Institute seeks an organized, detail-oriented, customer service-minded individual to lead sales and contracting efforts for Conference & Retreat programs; develop and manage contracts for Mountain School and Field & Virtual Programs; and assist with outreach, marketing, and customer development for group programs at the Institute. The Group Programs Specialist works primarily out of our administrative office in Sedro-Woolley, with the option for frequent remote work. They will occasionally travel to the Environmental Learning Center as part of their role. This position is ssupervised by the Adult & Family Programs Manager.

COMPENSATION
This is a regular, non-exempt, full-time position which includes an unpaid two-week winter furlough. The pay rate is $20.00 to $21.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

● Vacation Leave – 10 days within year one. Positions with furloughs may accrue less than 10 days

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to:
● Sit, talk, and hear, use hands and fingers to operate office equipment and files; reach with hands and arms
● Occasional walking, bending and lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds is required
● Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, close vision and the ability to adjust focus

Qualifications:

● Excellent public speaking, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills with strong attention to detail
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Excellent computer skills (Familiar with G-Suite apps, MS Office)
● Familiarity with CRM programs (Salesforce or similar)
● Available for occasional weekend or evening work and travel within Washington State
