A leader in the whitewater rafting and adventure travel industry since 1969, OARS is a second generation family-owned outfitter that seeks to match the best staff with our first-class rafting, hiking, and multi-sport guided adventures. We are seeking guides for our 2021 season to join our team. Whether you are a seasoned professional river runner or a complete novice, there are guiding opportunities at OARS that can open up a whole new world of adventure. From the rush of spring snowmelt on rivers throughout the West to relaxed sea kayaking on pristine mountain lakes, our guides lead the way deep into some of the most magnificent landscapes on earth. Since 1969, OARS has set the first-class standard for adventure travel vacations and our ongoing pursuit of excellence is based on providing superior service to our guests.

Qualifications:

Guide Qualifications:
A minimum of a Wilderness First Responder certification is required for guiding multi-day trips
A minimum of a Wilderness First Aid certification is required for guiding one day trips
CPR certified 
Able to safely navigate oar/paddle boats and/or sea kayaks
Provide a positive role model for children and facilitate kid-friendly activities
Background in natural history or leading groups, preferred
Present facts about the region’s natural and human history
