Field Staff provide experience, knowledge, and understanding to all participants of Outdoor Adventures by Boojum’s programs. We focus on getting people outdoors and providing Education, Leadership Development, and Experiential Education. The nature of this work is to learn by doing, and perform tasks such as Teaching/Logistics/Food/and Program Support.

Twenty-one years of age or older preferred. At least one season (30-60 days) experience in experiential or outdoor education preferred. High-school diploma or equivalent; college-level coursework in environmental education, outdoor education, or adventure education preferred. Current Wilderness First Responder (WFR) or similar required. Significant personal experience and comfort living in the outdoors. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

Excellent skills in leadership, teamwork, time management, organization, judgment, planning and communication including such abilities as: Interpreting group dynamics, Listening and giving feedback, Facilitation, teaching, role modeling, choosing proper debrief techniques, outdoor skills, natural history, environmental awareness, challenge course activities, and life skills in order to unlock potential, promote self-discovery and inspire growth in our students.
