We are looking for curious, caring, and hardworking staff to lead groups through outdoor education, including environmental education, team building, adventure trips, and more. You’ll develop your skills and love of the outdoors while providing unforgettable experiences for students, scouts, and adult groups. No experience needed – bring your talents and enthusiasm for learning!

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Must be able to work legally in the United States
Must deliver a clean Virginia criminal background check
Availability for the entirety of a season (mid-March through early June or mid-August- mid-November) with summer options available
Required Skills:
Must be able to: lift 50 pounds, be continually physically active for up to 8 hours a day, and work outdoors in inclement weather
Must possess excellent communication and group management skills, and ability to teach
Desire and willingness to work in a natural camp setting
Ability to work irregular hours
Strong listening skills, detail-oriented, and the ability to multi-task
Able to maturely play the role of educator and facilitator
Preferred Skills:
1-year outdoor recreation experience or camp counselor preferred
Experience working with children preferred
Current First Aid and CPR certifications preferred
