Overview

The Associate Director of Institutional Giving is a key member of OBUSA’s Advancement team, involved in all aspects of institutional giving for the national organization, building and stewarding institutional donor relationships with foundations, corporations, and government agencies. The Associate Director of Institutional Giving identifies, solicits, and stewards corporate and foundation donors, partners, and sponsors. The Associate Director of Institutional Giving is responsible for raising $2M to $3M in annual gifts and grants and increasing institutional giving fundraising by a minimum of 10% annually over the next five years.
The position reports to the Chief Advancement Officer, and works closely with the Director of Annual Giving, the Data Analyst and Development Manager, and OBUSA’s Marketing, Program, and Finance staff. The Associate Director of Institutional Giving’s work is critical to the success of OBUSA’s goals and objectives. The Associate Director of Institutional Giving will bring knowledge and experience within the fields of youth development and education to guide Outward Bound’s philanthropic positioning with institutional donors nationwide. We seek a dynamic, passionate, and thoughtful team member who is informed and passionate about youth development to expand our mission and vision to reach more students in more communities nationwide.

Qualifications:

5+ Years of experience and proven track record for securing institutional giving in support of non-profit goals and objectives
Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful institutional giving strategies
Knowledge and understanding of fundraising techniques related to institutional giving
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
