We are looking for a positive, hard-working, team-oriented individual who would like to spend fun summers, working a rewarding job as an Office Manager with a sea kayak and raft guiding outfit based in Valdez, Alaska. We are a tight group of interesting, talented, outdoorsy people operating in the stunningly scenic heart of Prince William Sound. We also have internship positions available for those light on experience.

The Office Manager must be interested in working in the outdoor tourism industry. The position runs from mid May through mid September. We encourage this person to arrive in early May so as to join the guide training. Office personnel must be personable and able to answer phones, sell trips, take reservations, manage detailed client and guide schedules, maintain shop organization, organize groups, deal with direct customer contact, work on product development, and assist guides with trip preparation, etc… This is a small office with a fun atmosphere, located in the middle of town, right on the harbor in one of the finest physical settings on earth. $12-$14/hr, DOE.

Basic First Aid, CPR, and prior administrative experience.

Required Skills:

Good writing and typing skills, Apple systems, Word/Pages/Google Docs, Excel/Numbers/Google Sheets, Quickbooks familiarity, basic website maintenance, a willingness to learn and passion for the subject matter. Basic organization, sharp attention to detail, and good communication skills are all musts.

Preferred Skills:

Should have strong organizational skills, be highly motivated and self-directed. We are looking for someone who wants to stay involved with Pangaea Adventures for multiple summers.
