Putney Central School is hiring for their next physical education and wellness teacher to begin in the 2022 – 2023 school year.

The successful candidate will bring their passion in the field of health and wellness to lead a comprehensive, equitable and inclusive wellness and physical education program. Based on a commitment to whole-body wellness, nutrition and the physical and emotional health of our students, this program can include extensive use of the 160-acre forest and network of trails on our campus, and a well-established biking program for all ages. In addition there is an opportunity to work in close collaboration with the Putney Recreation League in supporting youth sports and recreation activities in our community. The hiring process will prioritize passion and vision of a comprehensive, innovative, equitable and inclusive physical education and wellness program as much as traditional physical education experience.

Putney Central School, nestled in the Connecticut River Valley of southern Vermont, serves 175 students in grades PK – 8.
